Seniors can start applying for the 2016 SHHS Alumni scholarship, including special education and undocumented seniors.

The association has awarded over $45,000 to students since 1999.

“I realized that a lot of people don’t apply for scholarships so I felt that if I apply for more scholarships I would have a better chance of getting it,” senior Caereyshia Benjamin said.

Benjamin already has plans if she does get the scholarship.

“Well, I’m gonna start paying for my tuition once I get accepted to any colleges I’ve looked into,” she said.

Applications are available in the Counseling Office, the College & Career Center in the Library or online.

Applications are due by 3 p.m. Friday, April 15 in the counselor’s offices.
