SIGN UP TO ATTEND THE NORTH TEXAS TEEN BOOK FESTIVAL

By Jean Carlos Garcia, Journalism Reporter

The book club will attend the North Texas Teen Book Festival on March 5 at the Irving Convention Center.

Interested students can talk to book club sponsor Ian Pearce in room 308.

“The book festival is one of, if not the largest book festivals in the country geared towards young adult and middle-grade readers,” Pearce said. “It allows students to meet and interact with others who enjoy books like they do as well as meet with some of the biggest and most famous young adult authors in the country. It’s a pretty fun event all around and it also helps that I am on the board of directors for the festival.”

The event is free and many students walk away with free books, swag, and sometimes books that haven’t even been released yet, he said

The book club meets at 3:15 p.m. on the first Monday of the month in room 308.
