Carter Blood Care will be on campus from 7:45 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 17 in the East Parking Lot for anyone interested in donating blood.

“It’s important for students to donate because sometimes you never know when accidents happen and blood is needed,” student council sponsor Justin Gilmore said.

Students can sign up for the blood drive during A and C lunches Oct. 10-11 in the Texan Cafe.

Students must be at least 16 years old to donate blood. Students under the age of 17 are required to turn in a parental permission form to Gilmore in room 209.

Students that donate blood four or more times during their high school career can earn a red graduation cord.
