The Family Center will host science night from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Oct. 26 in Commons B.

Events include performances from TNG, El Mariachi Tejano de Sam Houston and at least six science experiments. There will also be outside vendors.

“The thing I love about science is that it’s partnered with Halloween, it’s theme,” Roslyn Burch, family engagement liaison, said. “We will have a Halloween costume contest, prizes, the coolest experiments and, outside vendors to share out what they do in their particular jobs that have to do with science.”

This is a fun family event that will increase family time and allow students discover new things through experimentation, Burch said.

“The earth and science club will be providing different experiments,” Denece Newsom, IB biology teacher, said. “Experiments on color, with dry ice, with elephant.”
